1. How much does Local Gaijin cost?

It is completely free to register!
We take a 10% fee only after you have completed your service transaction through Localgaijin.jp.

2. I'm a service provider, how do I get paid?

To get paid, you can simply request to "withdraw" from your dashboard.
You can choose to receive your money through Paypal or through a Japanese bank transfer.

3. What does Local Gaijin offer?

At LocalGaijin, our focus is to connect local language teachers using private lessons, travel, or cool experiences with those interested.
However we are not limited to language lessons, we are also connecting local talents, skilled individuals, and many kinds of unique services to people who need them.
The possibilities are infinite!
We strive to provide the safest and most trustful platform for people to locally advertise and find useful talents in your area.

4. How can I contact Local Gaijin?

You can reach us through the contact page or through our live-chat conveniently located on the bottom right corner of your screen.
One of our representatives will respond to you as soon as possible.

5. What if the client does not attend, or cancels my scheduled service?

If the client cancels, or does not attend their scheduled appointment, you can file a report/dispute to admin@localgaijin.jp.
We will further investigate the matter and get back to you as soon as we can.
In the case of a cancellation, 50% of the unique service fee will be charged to the client and paid to you the service provider.
Our contact information is also located on our contact page for future reference. 

i.e.
If there is a discrepancy on the client side, the service provider will receive 50% of the unique service transaction.
If there is a discrepancy on the service provider's side, the client will receive a full 100% refund on the unique service transaction.

*note that LocalGaijin will charge a transaction fee in any situation requiring money transfer. (2.9%+\40 fee for paypal transfers. \432 fee for Japanese bank transfer.)
**DO NOT USE THIRD PARTY MESSAGING SYSTEMS..
This would be an obstruction from our TOS.
We cannot investigate any case other than those using our private messaging system for yours and our security.
Refunds will not be applied if you have communicated on any platform other than our private messaging system (i.e. line, facebook, email, watsapp, twitter, etc).

6. I have submitted the withdraw request, when do I get paid?

We close sales on Monday and send payments on Friday.
The earliest you can receive your earned sales is in 4 days.
This way we can help prevent fraud by making sure every transaction is cleared and authentic.

7. How do I become a verified user?

To provide services over 3,000 yen, please complete the verification process by using the link provided on your dashboard and submit your photo I.D.
We will verify your account within 2 business days after submission.

8. What payment method can I use to pay for the service I requested?

Paypal and Stripe.

9. I provided a service, but my client has not left me feedback. What should I do?

Please send a report to admin@localgaijin.jpWe will work on resolving the matter.
